چکیده
Topological acoustics is an emerging field that lies at the intersection of condensed matter physics, mechanical structural design and engineering. It explores construction novel artificial structures, such as acoustic metamaterials phononic crystals, to manipulate sound waves robustly, taking advantage topological protection. Early work on was limited duplicating phases have been understood in systems, but recent advances shifted exploring new concepts are difficult realize other physical various semimetal phases, associated with Floquet engineering, fragile topology, non-Hermiticity synthetic dimensions. These developments demonstrate unique advantages systems their role developing physics. In this Review, we survey fundamental mechanisms, basic designs practical realizations provide overview future directions potential applications. The introduction topology into platforms enables robust control. This Review discusses designs, promising for systems.

Architectural Acoustics: Acoustics of Concert Halls II
Some high-resolution direction-of-arrival DOA estimation methods, such as the MUSIC method, have been developed based on vectorsensor array. However, these high-resolution methods suffer from serious drawbacks. Indeed, they are not able to estimate coherent signals and sensitive to calibration errors. Mainly to overcome these limitations and in particular to satisfy practical engineering applic...

A new acoustic measurement signal that is a hybrid signal of time-stretched pulse TSP , or lin-TSP, and logarithmic TSP log-TSP is proposed. The signal, referred to as warped-TSP Morise et al., IEICE Trans. Fundamentals, A, J89-A 1 , 7–14 2006 , has a single parameter to adjust for better measurements in accordance with ambient noise conditions. It also provides a means to eliminate harmonic di...
متن کاملArchitectural Acoustics: General Topics in Architectural Acoustics
The Audio Arts and Acoustics department at Columbia College in Chicago acquired a new building in 2003. The facility, a former bank, contained an old steel and concrete vault that was converted to a reverberation chamber. The acoustic properties of the space, including reverberation time, modal density, and early reflection maps were analyzed and compared to a computer model. Reflectograms were...

Real-time auralization of physical models has attracted vivid interest over the last years. This is mainly due to the rising computational capabilities of personal computers and the accessibility of specialized (external) accelerating hardware, like GPGPUs (generalpurpose graphics processing units) or FPGAs (field programmable gate arrays). In this work, an extended framework of real-time physi...
متن کاملStethoscope Acoustics
IT is an anachronism that the stethoscope, introduced in 1819, remains an indispensable medical tool today although no standards have ever been set for its acoustical performance.' Neither has a standard test been established for evaluating the acoustics of the intact instrument. Furthermore, there is no information on the intimate acoustical interaction of the stethoscope with the doctors' ear...
